About SMP

What scalp micropigmentation actually is

Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical technique that deposits pigment into the scalp to replicate the appearance of tiny, closely-shaved hair follicles. Done well, it restores the look of a full head of short hair — sharpening hairlines, adding density to thinning areas, and camouflaging scars.

The process

1. Consultation

We review your hair loss pattern, skin tone, and goals — in person or during your free consultation — and set expectations for realistic, natural results.

2. Design

Your hairline or density pattern is mapped out before any pigment is applied, matched to your face shape and natural growth direction.

3. Pigment Application

Using sterile, single-use needles, tiny deposits of pigment replicate the look of individual hair follicles across one or more sessions.

4. Healing & Touch-Up

Pigment settles and softens slightly over 2-4 weeks. A touch-up session refines density and color for a long-lasting, natural result.
